Creative Copywriter and Creative Director.

Born: Bristol

Studied: Bower Ashton school of Art, then Central St Martins BA Graphic Design, Photography and Creative Advertising. 

2007 - 2017 ADLAND

My first job was at BMB, where I worked as a Junior copywriter/creative across numerous accounts. Grolsch Beer, Wall's PastiesIkea, Chritian Aid and Carling beer being the most notable. I also worked under ECDs Matt Gooden and Ben Walker to win the William Hill and Dairy Lea accounts for the agency.

While at BMB, myself and my creative partner Kate Baker decided to start our own little ‘agency within an agency’ called NightShop. We stayed late(er) than everyone else and pitched for our own accounts to work on. NightShop helped to launch the charity C.A.L.M in London and ran a successful campaign to save Ministry of Sound from closure

Three-point-five years later I followed Matt and Ben to Crispin Porter + Bogusky London to work on Paddy Power alongside Bertie Scrase and Christen Brestrup. We wrote and produced some great work and after 2 years I was made Creative Director on the account. I also managed to get a few pieces of work away on Turkish Airlines and Dieselalmost did something great for Milka and secured the Captain Morgan, McCoy's and Coke Zero business for the agency.

I then moved to W+K London to spend the summer working with a very talented Art Director and Creative named Caleb Al-Jorani. We produced some lovely work for Nike Hypervennon II football boots and then left W&K for a permanent role at 101.

After a brilliant first year at 101 I became a fully-fledged Creative Director working across all the Britvic accounts. I developed the global positioning of Heineken’s Desperados beer, won the Costa Coffee, Subaru and Drench business for the agency and wrote some lovely little ads for the National Art Fund, OJO online casino, R.Whites Lemonade and Innocent Smoothies. In 2017 101 picked up the International Small agency of the Year and my Prosecco events business, Bubble Bros Ltd, was listed as a contributing factor by the judges. 

2017 - 18 - The Freelance years

The Prosecco business went from strength-to-strength and started to demand a little bit more of my time than originally anticipated, so I decided to become the master of my own schedule again and return to the world of freelance Copywriting/Creativity-ing. 

My first stop has been back at W+K London, where I have had the pleasure of working alongside Tom Bender and Tom Corcoran on their amazing Nothing Beats a Londoner campaign. I was put in charge of blowing the campaign out beyond the main Youtube film and focused heavily on Instagram and Giphy to achieve this. 

The Nothing Beats A Londoner campaign picked up the Grand Prix for Social at Cannes and I stayed on at W+K London to work on the launch of the new Vaporfly running shoes. We produced an Instagram-only campaign that was nominated for a Cannes Lion in 2018. .
